Principles of biotech equipment. Selected issues regarding: filters, mixers and mixers (for liquids and solids), heat exchangers, solution concentration and crystallization devices, bioreactors. In addition, the process design of a selected bioreactor working in a quasi-continuous system (calculation of sizes at a given substrate stream, calculation of tank sizes, selection of pumps, calculation of device power demand).
